Edition 3/5 This print is a screened photo of crumpled Rheims Cathedral, which has been progressively flattened. The lino would have been taken from the bathroom floor with two blocks of staggered writing on a separate section of cream lino. The inscription reads: We printed this cathedral for another purpose and found a stray proof, crumpled up, blowing about in the yard, turning over in the wind. A building massive as a towering rock, reduced to an image frail as a butterfly something to be crumpled up or flattened out, at will, had become an absured structural paraddox A Crumpled Cathedral!
